Selection Notice 01

Your continued existence has entered processing

One minute you had a job, a routine, some coffee and problems that felt important at the time. The next minute, you are in a dungeon.

Your office, your building and your street have been flattened, folded and forced into shapes that now make sense for the dungeon and nothing else. You begin as a Nobody: ordinary, underprepared and recently removed from the comforting illusion that the universe has workplace safety regulations.

Three black-and-white Nobody concepts: an anxious accountant, an exhausted shop worker and a confused person in a bathrobe

Contestant support package

Fast. Lethal. Politely administered.

The Slaughter Slog is dungeon-crawling action-horror with a sense of humour about how badly things can go. It is about ordinary people making urgent decisions under impossible pressure while something vast, cheerful and commercially motivated watches the results.

Selection Phase · Standard intake

Create Four Nobodies

Form SS N4 Cleared for immediate use

Standard play begins with four Nobodies. Each one has enough history to make survival interesting and death inconvenient.

Small print: Generated Nobodies begin with Might 2, Speed 2, Intellect 2 and Stress 2. Personal attachments have no mechanical value until the dungeon notices them.

Local intake zone identified

The Ashfield Intake

Ashfield was not special. This was one of its great strengths.

A UK opening session designed to teach players and the GM/AI how the game works through play. It begins in the remains of the ordinary world, holding ordinary things, thinking ordinary thoughts and being invited by an extraordinary system to become interesting very quickly.

Document status Layout pending processing

The Ashfield Intake PDF will be added here when final production is complete. The Slog Crawler’s Guide remains in internal processing.

Final administrative reminder

The dungeon should be lethal, but never dull.

Keep moving. Keep choosing. Keep opening doors despite every previous experience suggesting this is a terrible idea.

Contestant Appreciation Notice // Voluntary*

Nobody does it better.

This has been noted.

Your unexpected emotional response to the Nobody programme has been logged and forwarded to Development.

The Slaughter Slog is still being built, tested and subjected to entirely appropriate levels of interference. If you enjoyed Nobody and want to see what happens next, you can support Mogshade Games and help us keep making the game.

Continued enthusiasm may result in additional Floors.

Small print: Feelings of unusual fondness toward fictional contestants are considered normal and commercially encouraging.
